The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton continues to provide concrete support to municipalities and their capital projects, as part of efforts to improve local infrastructure and conditions for the development of sports in all parts of the canton through strategic investments.
Minister Mirza Mušija today signed contracts on co-financing of capital projects with Maida Suljaković, Mayor of Maglaj Municipality and Ermin Musa, assistant to Mayor of Vareš Municipality Zdravko Marošević.
With these contracts, funds in the amount of KM 100,000 each were approved – to the Municipality of Maglaj for the co-financing of the project “Construction of the auxiliary playground of the City Stadium in Maglaj – Phase I” and to the Municipality of Vareš for the capital project “Reconstruction of the City Stadium in Vareš”.
– Support for the implementation of these projects is part of the wider commitment of the ZDK Government to invest equally in all local communities, strengthen local capacities and contribute to the creation of better conditions for citizens’ lives. The Ministry actively monitors the needs of municipalities and cities in the field of sports, culture, education and science, and through the planned funds it tries to respond to the priorities that come from the local level – said Minister Mušija.
According to him, the ZDK Government and the relevant ministry will continue to support similar initiatives in the coming period, with the aim of creating a functional, modern and accessible infrastructure for all citizens, especially children and young people, to whom such projects offer a healthier and better environment for growing up and developing.
