When will it stop snowing?
It is a question that most citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are interested in, and it was answered in detail for N1 by the respected BiH. meteorologist Nedim Sladić.
“The cyclone that brought moist and unstable air towards our areas is now moving eastwards, more precisely into the Aegean Sea, so its influence is weakening over our area from tomorrow. This will directly affect the precipitation. Therefore, we expect a gradual normalization in the areas that are now buried by large amounts of snow. Of course, this is also good news for those who fix malfunctions caused by the snowstorm,” said Sladić for N1.
“On the other hand, a complete cessation of precipitation is expected on Thursday in most of our country. Generally speaking, it will be sunnier tomorrow in the southern part of Herzegovina, but the storm will continue to blow, which will gradually weaken. With the clearing, which we expect towards the end of the working week, for the weekend we are also expecting very cold mornings along with cheerfulness. Thanks to this, morning air temperatures in the mountains will drop to minus fifteen, while in the lowlands they will range mostly between minus eleven and minus five. In Herzegovina, morning temperatures will be from minus four to one degree.
Daytime temperatures will continue to be lower than normal for this time of year. In most areas of Bosnia, it will be between minus two and three degrees Celsius, while in Herzegovina it will be between four and ten degrees. It should be noted that, as we approach the end of this year, we can expect warming at altitude, which would mean that the temperatures on the ground floor will somewhat recover. However, this carries the potential possibility of air pollution in conditions of a stable atmosphere”, predicted Sladić.
