The routes said in an interview for New York Times that Finland has already been a military obligation, that some member countries will make decisions on the introduction of such an obligation, while others will generally pay for good salaries to men and women in uniform.
The head of NATO expressed special concern over the defense industry, calling her “problem for the whole alliance”.
He said that the member states do not have a defensive industry base for the production of weapons needed to deter Russians, North Koreans or anyone who could attack them.
The routes said that it was convinced that NATO is now working rapidly on solving this problem.
He also stated that NATO “has all the plans” in the event of a possible Russian attack on Estonia, noting that NATO’s response would be “destroying”.
“The full force of NATO would tighten for help, including the full support of the United States,” the routes stated.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin knows that and therefore will not attack Estonia today.
The routes warned that Putin could attack Estonia in five to seven years if NATO does not make additional investments in defense.
