The basketball players of Dubai were defeated in Belgrade by Crvena zvezda with a score of 95:92 in the match of the 25th round of the Euroleague, and the duel was also marked by a verbal conflict between Džanan Musa and coach Jurica Golemec at the very end of the match.
The team from the United Arab Emirates started the match extremely badly and already after the first quarter had a big deficit of as many as 23 points, considering that the scoreboard showed 34:11 in favor of the home team.
Nevertheless, Dubai managed to stabilize the game, raise the intensity, and in the second half completely return to the game, keeping Red Star under pressure until the last moments.
After the match, Dubai coach Jurica Golemac reflected on the short discussion with Musa, stressing that the situation will not leave a mark on the relationship within the team.
He pointed out that from Bosnia and Herzegovina expects more from the national team player in the rest of the season and to understand his reaction.
“Džanan recently returned to the field and has high expectations of himself. He is an emotional player, and I myself went through similar situations while playing. We will solve such things within the team and will not allow them to happen again. There are no problems between us, Musa is a true professional and I am convinced that we will put everything in order,” said Golemac.
Musa spent a little more than 20 minutes on the court, and during that time he scored five points, along with three rebounds and one assist.
