The Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of Zenica-Doboj Canton has introduced a new tool in the fight against traffic violations, unmanned aircraft, better known as drones. This modern technology already gives concrete results in the field, and additional upgrades of equipment that will enable even more efficient supervision has been announced.
“These are the latest generation drones that are used for operating purposes, thus in the target of high-resolution controls such as the use of mobile phones, non-accessing belt and improperly or illicit the Police Department of the Ministry of the Interior.
According to her, the use of drones enables police officers to detect misdemeanors that are often out of sight of regular patrol. In practice, the system operates by identifying a misdemeanor using the drone, and informs the other police team in real time, which stops the vehicle and access the driver’s sanction.
“Only over the weekend, in one of the controls, as many as 303 offenses are documented, and the results will be presented according to its ending. What will be installed by the radar system. Police Directorate announces that in the coming period, the actions of enhanced traffic control will be organized in the coming period using this modern technology, and the goal is clear, a reduction in the number of traffic accidents and the increase in the Canton roads.
