After the Federal Inspection blocked the work of the Mostar Killing landfill, the city of Mostar faced serious problems in collecting and disposing of municipal waste. As a temporary solution, the city authorities decided to redirect waste to the regional landfill of the Moscanica near Zenica.

From the City Administration of Mostar, they say that this move is necessary to prevent the accumulation of garbage on the streets and potential health consequences for the population.
Mayor Mario Kordić in the media statement reminded that the City of Mostar has been led by litemists related to the murder landfill and rehabilitation plan for years.
As he stated, the Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH rejected appeals against a five-year adaptation plan, by the only sustainable solution, but there were new appeals that, according to him, “tied the hands and legs” to the city administration.
