The Minister of Veterans’ Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Adnan Sirovica, hosted a reception for the delegation of the “Bosna” Zenica Sitting Volleyball Club today, on the occasion of the exceptional result achieved by the team at the 16th international tournament LE Cup 2025 in Leipzig, where they won second place in a competition of 14 teams.
The ZDK Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs supported the team’s departure to this prestigious competition, and Minister Sirovica pointed out during the reception that he was proud of the success achieved by the Zenica athletes, stressing that clubs that bring together demobilized fighters and war invalids have a special importance for the community.
– KSO “Bosna” Zenica once again proved that dedicated work, togetherness and sportsmanship lead to top results. The Ministry will continue to support such collectives in the future, which worthily represent our canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina – said Minister Sirovica.
During the second day of the tournament, the “Bosna” team achieved outstanding performances. In the group stage, they competed against the European giant Bayer Leverkusen and the Czech Republic national team. After a great fight against the club’s European runner-up, Leverkusen, the Zenica team achieved an important victory over the Czech Republic in a dramatic tie-break with a score of 15:13, which earned them second place in the group and overall second place in the tournament.
