Minister of Health of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, dr. Aida Salčinović held a consultative meeting today with the representatives of the ZDK Association of Pensioners: Fahra Bajramović, Mustafa Trakić and Mirnes Buljubašić. The meeting was also attended by the acting director of the Institute of Health Insurance, Ahmed Kasap.
At the initiative of the Association of pensioners/retirees of ZDK, important issues related to the health care of pensioners in the canton were discussed during the meeting, with the aim of reviewing the current situation and finding solutions that will contribute to improving the availability and quality of health services for this population.
Special attention was paid to the essential list of medicines, along with the proposal to increase funds, the problems of long waiting lists for specialist examinations, and the issue of spa treatment approved by the Institute of Health Insurance. Additionally, the issue of stamps of the Institute of Health Insurance was highlighted.
The Minister of Health emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue with the Union of Pensioners, emphasizing that the goal of the Ministry is to ensure better health care and greater support for pensioners through joint activities. The representatives of the Alliance expressed their satisfaction with the openness of the Ministry for cooperation and pointed out that they expect the continuation of constructive talks in the coming period.
The Director of the Health Insurance Institute presented the planned measures for more efficient use of health resources, stressing that the Institute will continue to work on improving the availability of health services for pensioners.
This meeting represents an important step towards strengthening cooperation between institutions and associations, with the aim of jointly improving the health care of pensioners in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
