Minister of Health of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, dr. Today, Aida Salčinović delivered to the representatives of the citizens’ association the Decision on the allocation of funds for the financing of program activities in the field of health. A total of 27,950 KM was provided from the Budget of the Zenica-Doboj Canton for 2025.
On September 25, 2025, the Ministry of Health announced a new public call for the allocation of funds to citizens’ associations registered in the Canton area, which deal with the gathering and support of people suffering from malignant diseases, diabetes and other health problems.
Based on the implementation procedure and proposals of the Commission for evaluation and ranking of the received projects, the funds were allocated in individual amounts to the following associations: Association of oncology patients “Snop” Zenica, Association “Ona je svjetlost” Kakanj, Association of citizens with disabilities of chronic kidney patients of the hemodialysis center Visoko, Association of citizens “Mila” Maglaj, Association “Red Cross of Maglaj municipality” and Association of children and young people suffering from diabetes in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
– Since, based on the Public Call published in July of this year, the Ministry did not spend all the funds intended for these purposes, I decided to publish another Public Call. In this way, we decided to provide support to associations that did not manage to obtain funds according to the first public call or did not manage to apply on time. Our goal is to secure funds and help associations operating in the field of health in a concrete way – said Minister Aida Salčinović.
