On Tuesday, 1. July, 1. A long 20-kilometers long for killed veterans in the wider Biograd area ran the members of the Marathon Association “Heroes do not die”, including Marijo Soldo from the wide hill.
The start of the race was with a memorial to the dead Croatian defense counsel Goran Batura, In the forest of bitterness (Jankolovica). During the race, they also paid tribute to another memorial-characteristic, a died defender Željko Djindjic.
The route continued over the crow to the Brdo Debeljak, the place of the greatest suffering of the defense counsel from the Biograd area in the Homeland War, where 11 Croatian veterans gave their lives for freedom.
After fat, race went through the crow, the road with Vrana Lake to Pakostane and Kumenat, and ended at Soline Beach, where civilians were killed in a rocket attack Lidija Vrankulj and Danijela Vidakovićas well as three members of the Croatian Army Special Forces – Marijan Pulić, Jozo Tomić and Karlo Paić.
Among the participants of the Memorial Race, next to Marija Solda, were Željko štovanje, Ivan Pikunić and Željko Birkić.
Organizers thank the DVD of Sv. Filip Jakov and their commander Stip Batura on logistics support, and Denis rapids on the advice in the preparation of the race, which was held to permanently preserve the memory related to the Homeland War.
