Last night, the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Memphis Grizzlies 133-127 thanks mostly to Saddiq Bey, who scored 19 of his 36 points in the last quarter.
Trey Murphy III added 32 points, while Zion Williamson finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds, and the Pelicans snapped a three-game losing streak. Karlo Matkovic played 14:52 minutes for the Pelicans and scored five points (2/4 field goal, 1/3 three-pointer) with six rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Jock Landale added 24 points and 11 rebounds.
The Pelicans, who are lost 14 of the previous 16 gamesthey won away from home for only the fourth time.
Bey helped the Pelicans rally from an eight-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter. He scored 14 points in a three-minute span to help New Orleans turn a three-point deficit into a three-point lead (115-112) with four and a half minutes to go.
After the Grizzlies regained a 123-122 lead with a minute and a half left, Williamson hit a 3-pointer, and then Bey hit a 3-pointer with 58 seconds left to give the Pelicans a 128-123 lead.

Cleveland Cavaliers won 123-118 Sacramento Kingsand Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points with eight assists for his team’s victory. He was followed with 29 interceptions by Evan Mobley, who also added 13 rebounds and seven assists.
Jaylon Tyson added 17 points and Jarrett Allen had 15 points and nine rebounds for Cleveland, which has won nine of its last 13 games.
Domantas Sabonis led the Kings with 24 points, 16 rebounds and six assists in 31 minutes of play. Dennis Schroder scored 21 points and DeMar DeRozan had 20 points for Sacramento, which has lost four straight and is 3-18 on the road. Dario Saric did not play for Sacramento.
Houston Rockets were 111-104 better than the home team away from home Detroit Pistons which ended the streak of four victories. Kevin Durant scored 32 points and Alperen Sengun added 19 points and five assists for Houston, which outscored the Pistons 34-20 in the third quarter. The best player for the Pistons was Jalen Duren, who finished the game with 18 interceptions and seven rebounds.
Toronto Raptors registered their third victory in a row, defeating the home team 110-98 Portland Trail Blazers. Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 22 points and Immanuel Quickley had 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Toronto. Jrue Holiday and Shaedon Sharpe were the best with 21 points each in the ranks of Portland, whose four-game winning streak was ended.
Denver Nuggets won away from home with 102-100 Milwaukee Bucks although they dropped a lead of as many as 23 points. Julian Strawther scored 20 points for Denver, Tim Hardaway Jr. he added 17 points and Bruce Brown 15. Zeke Nnaji added 11 with 12 rebounds.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee with 22 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists.
Indiana Pacers in the replay of last year’s NBA finals, they won against Oklahoma City Thunder. Andrew Nembhard with 27 points and 11 assists led Indiana to a victory away from home, the first after three consecutive losses.
Jarace Walker added 26 and Pascal Siakam 21 points for Indiana. It was just the second loss in nine games for the Thunder, who were not helped by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 47 points.
At one point in the game, the Pacers led by 17 points, with less than five minutes to go, they had an advantage of 12 points, and with a little more than two minutes to go, they were leading by 10 points. But then Oklahoma closes the gap within one basket with 24.3 seconds left for a 9-0 run – all thanks to Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren. But Walker hit all four free throws after that to seal the win for Indiana.
Boston Celtics were better than in New York after two overtimes with 130-126 Brooklyn Nets. Payton Pritchard was Boston’s leading scorer with 32 steals.
In a game that featured 22 lead changes and 13 ties, the Celtics blew a 10-point lead in the final three minutes of regulation and rallied from within five points in the final 7.9 seconds of overtime thanks to 3-pointers by Pritchard and Hugo Gonzalez with four-tenths of a second remaining.
U to the second overtime against the Nets twice cut the lead to one after the Celtics took the lead, but Sam Hauser hit a 3-pointer for a 128-124 lead with just under two minutes left and Pritchard scored the final points with 44.2 seconds left after Noah Clowney missed a 3-pointer.
Atlanta Hawks were better than at home with 110-103 Phoenix Suns who were without Devin Booker due to an ankle injury. Jalen Johnson scored 12 of his 23 points in the final quarter for Atlanta, which scored the last eight points of the game to snap the Suns’ three-game winning streak.
Johnson tied his personal best with 18 rebounds for his 30th.double-double” and added nine assists. Onyeka Okongwu had 25 points for Atlanta and CJ McCollum 21. Phoenix was led by Booker’s 31 points, but did not play in the final quarter after injuring his right ankle late in the third period. Grayson Allen and Collin Gillespie each scored 16 points for the Suns.
