European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos is currently in Chisinau to discuss Moldova’s progress on the road to the EU, the European Commission announced.
This morning, the commissioner met with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimova and other members of the new Moldovan government.
Their talks focused on EU-related reforms and steps to boost economic growth and advance gradual EU integration – key to delivering tangible benefits for citizens and businesses even before accession.
Commissioner Kos then participated in the Women for Security High-Level Forum and Conference on the Enlargement Report, where the importance of inclusive leadership in Moldova’s European transformation was highlighted and she detailed the Moldovan Enlargement Report for 2025.
The Commissioner then met with the newly established Parliamentary Committee on EU Integration to discuss their key role in aligning Moldova with the EU legal legacy.
