Lukashenko: We will use nuclear weapons if they attack us

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that he told French President Emmanuel Macron, in a telephone conversation, that nuclear weapons would only be used in the event of aggression against Belarus.

“I said, only in one case – if aggression is committed against Belarus,” Lukashenko said.

He said he invited Macron to meet with him and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Lukashenko pointed out that he appealed to the President of France to be the initiator in promoting peaceful dialogue in Europe, and that he invited him to Minsk.

The Belarusian president added that he discussed the negotiations between Ukraine, Belarus and the USA with Macron, and that he agreed to receive the envoy of the French president next week to discuss current problems.
