Lukashenko was answering questions from journalists after the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the Leningrad region, and one of the questions was how many “Oreshnik” ballistic missile systems Russia will deploy in Belarus.
“I think ten for now. We will see later. If the Russians want to deploy more, we will deploy more,” Lukashenko was quoted as saying by Anadolu.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that they have deployed Russian tactical nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory, and that in the second half of next year they will deploy the “Oreshnik” ballistic missile in Belarus, equipped with non-nuclear hypersonic equipment, tested under wartime conditions in Ukraine.
