More than 800 children from Ljubuški, Široki Brijeg and Posušje participated on Tuesday in the central manifestation of “Children’s Sunday” held in the City Hall in Ljubuški, as part of the celebration of this manifestation in 12 cities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Special guests were children from the Ljubuški Kindergarten, St. Ante and Vitina and beneficiaries of the Association of Persons with Disabilities of the West Herzegovina County from Široki Brijeg.
The program has started with the performance of the popular Kiket and children’s messages about the importance of respecting children’s rights, after which Kata Jelić from the Association of Persons with Disabilities from Široki Brijeg declared ambassador of Children’s Sunday.
As announced by the organization of Youth Sports Games, representatives of elementary schools and the Association they ignited the flame of friendship which this year symbolically travels through 12 cities of the Federation of BiH where Children’s Sunday is celebrated.
After the solemn ceremony, game competitions followed “between two fires”, 60 meter races and relay races. The children were delighted with today’s event in Ljubuški.
Students from Elementary schools Marko Marulić, Second elementary schools, Elementary schools of Antun Branko and Stanislav Šimić from Drinovac and Elementary school of Fra Stipan Vrljić from Sovic.
The caravan of joy continues its journey, and the next host of the event, sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, will be Tomislavgrad.
