One of the heroes match between Croatia and Slovenia was goalkeeper Matej Mandić, who was declared the best player by the European Handball Federation (EHF).
We deserved to win, we fought, we knew what this game was about. The first match point is settled. Tomorrow is a new day and a new game. The guys on defense are doing a good job on defense. Not many of them are mentioned, namely Sušnja, Mamić and David Mandić. They fight for every ball, they perish. People who don’t understand handball don’t know that, and unfortunately there are a lot of them.
I would also like to thank God for everything he gives me. It was hard for me for a while. Thanks to my family and girlfriend for being there for me. God sees everything, God knows everything. I will die for the Croatian jersey if I have to. The Hungarians are coming to spoil our plans.
