17.35 – The World Cup will be played from June 11 to July 19, 2026
This will be the first World Cup where 48 national teams will compete, 16 more than at the last World Cup. This means that the total number of matches will increase from 64 to 104 matches. The championship lasts from June 11 to July 19, which will make it the longest ever.
The national teams will be divided into 12 groups of four teams each. The two best teams from each group and eight of the 12 third-placed national teams will advance to the round of 16, the new knockout round.
17.30 – Bosnia and Herzegovina will find out about a potential rival
