At the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed a Decision on the allocation of funds determined by the Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2025 to the Federal Ministry of Finance under the economic code “Capital transfers to other levels of government and funds – municipalities and cities”, in the amount of 48,000,000 KM.
The distribution of these funds was determined on the basis of the Decision on determining the method of distribution and the procedure for allocating funds from this year’s budget to the Federal Ministry of Finance, as well as the Public Call for submission of applications for financing and co-financing of projects, requests, initiatives and other activities of importance for local self-government units in FBiH.
According to the above, the funds were allocated for projects in the field of road and communal infrastructure, then for facilities of an educational, sports and cultural nature and other facilities of importance for local self-government units, as well as for the financing of other activities within their jurisdiction.
Federal Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Toni Kraljević confirmed that the day before, the FBiH Government adopted the Decision on the distribution of funds to local self-government units that fall into the V category of development, determined by the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2025, to the Federal Ministry of Finance from the economic code “Current transfers to other levels of government and funds – municipalities and cities”, which allocated 2,000,000 KM.
In accordance with the prescribed criteria, an individual amount of 153,846 KM in the name of financial assistance to the budgets was distributed to the following municipalities: Domaljevac-Šamac, Ravno, Glamoč, Drvar, Bužim, Ključ, Foča, Pale, Čelić, Bosansko Grahovo, Teočak, Sapna and Dobretici.
The adopted decisions specify that the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will conclude individual contracts on the allocation and use of funds with the heads and mayors of municipalities and cities, which will regulate mutual rights and obligations.
The Federal Minister of Finance is authorized to sign contracts on the allocation, conditions and manner of use of funds on behalf of the FBiH Government. The Federal Ministry of Finance is responsible for the implementation of this decision, he writes Zenit.
