The Director of the Police Administration of the MUP, TK Dževad Korman, spoke to N1 on Tuesday about the case of the arrest of police officers in this canton who are suspected of inciting minors into prostitution as well as human trafficking.
“As you yourself stated, this canton has had difficult events for some time now, which are also related to the participation of police officers. This latest event is particularly sensitive and upset us all,” Korman said at the beginning.
“Especially because we are talking about minors, that is, children, at the time of the commission of the criminal act. I must emphasize the fact that the investigation of this criminal act took place from police officers who came to certain knowledge, which was expanded and deepened, and we learned that the police officers of TK could be involved in this criminal act.”
He says that the case was worked on for several months.
“We worked for several months on this case, not because we wanted to drag something out, but to collect the necessary evidence. These are difficult acts to prove, especially when you know that they were committed by police officers who took an oath to protect citizens. This is a continuation of the activities that the police carry out in the fight against crime.”
Korman revealed that the investigation is not over and that he suspects that more police officers may be detained.
“All the police officers who are involved in this, unfortunately we have not finished the investigation and we expect that a certain number of other people will appear. I don’t want to believe it, but I think there could be more police officers. They will all be detained and prosecuted”.
He adds that all police officers were subjected to medical and psychological tests at most a year ago.
“All these police officers underwent medical tests and psychological testing a year ago. We changed the method of admission to the police ranks a few years ago.”
“The final investigation will prove and show the possible participation of other persons, and possibly police officers,” says Korman.
