The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, European and Euro-Atlantic integration of our country and regional cooperation.
On that occasion, Minister Konaković emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina appreciate the visit of the Lammy Secretary of State in this challenging and key time for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He pointed out that it is crucial to the unshakeable commitment to the United Kingdom of Stability and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom on proactive engagement and strong and continuous support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as our aspirations for European and Euro-Atlantic integration. He expressed hope that the UK would continue to support the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the implementation of reforms, strengthening the rule of law and protect democratic values.
Minister Konaković visited the current political and security situation in our country during the meeting. He warned the Brutal RS Management Assault, led by Milorad Dodik, on the Constitutional Order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which lately endangers peace and safety in our country, but also the region. In this context, it was reiterated that the Road to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Union does not have an alternative and is a priority to political actors, which at this time represent the pro-European forces in our country.
The Lammy Secretary reiterated that the United Kingdom expresses a strong condemnation of the Secessional moves of the RS president of the RS Milorad Dodik and the leadership of that Bosnia and Herzegovina entity. He emphasized the firm support of his country of independence, sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as preservation of peace and security. He especially emphasized support for BiH institutions and their mechanisms as an answer to the crisis.
The meeting was discussed at the Summit of the Berlin Process, which will be held in the United Kingdom this year, contractual relations between the two countries and the improvement of economic cooperation.
