The Mauboussin jewelry store, which is not located in the Le Printemps department store in Paris, was robbed on the night between Monday and Tuesday.
Jewelry worth 300,000 euros was stolen from her, AFP learned today from police sources.
“The amount of damages was initially estimated at 500,000 euros, before it was revised to 300,000 euros,” said a source close to the case.
On the morning of December 24, when taking over duty, a security guard noticed that the shop’s window had been broken.
Surveillance cameras show an unidentified man entering the store to retrieve jewelry, before quickly leaving the premises.
The Paris prosecutor’s office opened an investigation that was entrusted to the judicial police.
