In the capital of Japan, the commemoration was held today on the occasion of the marking of 30. anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica. The event was attended by Jenna Cišija, Minister of Finance of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Mato Zeko, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tsukubi, and Taito Yamamoto, the Mayor of the Chuo in Tokyo, along with numerous representatives The educational and diplomatic sector of Japan.
The commemoration has passed in the sign of memories, dignity and affirmation of universal messages of peace, solidarity and responsibilities for historical truth. They present through an emotional and carefully designed program betrayed tribute to victims, reminiscent of the weight of the crime committed, but also the importance of preserving the culture of memory.

Representatives of young people from Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina also participated in the program, which spoke of the importance of memory and peace values.

Today I address you and with a sense of gratitude. Japan was with us. In the years, when we did not even have the basic, when the cities were demolished, when the world has just revealed what happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina – you helped, without the need for great words. And that is what is remembered.
Genocide is not a thing of the past. He is a living warning. And the fight against denial and oblivion – our common responsibility is. Future generations play a special role, that they always choose the truth and humanity, not hatred.
May this day be a moment of silence for all those of which there is no more. And let it be a vow – that never, nowhere and no one – do not allow Srebrenica – said the Minister of Finance and the Envoy of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton of Dzenan Ciši.
