Italian skiers Matteo Franzoso (25) passed away in the hospital in Santiago after the fall during the training in Chilean La Parvi, the Italian Ski Association was published.
Franzoso is on Saturday suffered severe head injury when falling in training. He was immediately transported by an emergency helicopter in 50 km away Santiago, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit and placed in a medically induced communion.
