The Israeli army announced that Muhammad Akram Arabi, the commander of the elite forces of the Lebanese Hezbollah, was killed in a drone attack on the city of Kaileh, in the south of Lebanon.
The official statement states that Arabi has recently been instrumental in rebuilding the organization’s combat capabilities, and that he has been actively working to reestablish “Hezbollah’s terrorist infrastructure” in the area, reports The Times of Israel.
The Israeli side claims that the Arabs and their collaborators thereby violated the existing cease-fire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed that at least one person was killed in an attack on a vehicle in Qaileh.
