On Thursday, the airline announced the immediate suspension of flights between Tel Aviv and Moscow for at least a week, citing “developments in Russian airspace.”
Israeli state channel Kan TV News reported at the time that the decision was made due to attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian airports, including those in Moscow, and after the crash in Kazakhstan of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane en route from Baku to Grozny, Russia.
El Al has five flights a week between Ben Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv and Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport, Xinhua reports.
