On Sunday evening, Iran launched two waves of missile attacks on sensitive Israeli military positions in response to Israel’s repeated ceasefire violations.
Local Iranian media, citing military sources, said dozens of missiles were fired at key Israeli military positions, triggering sirens in Haifa and central regions.
Informed sources said the missiles accurately hit their targets.
An air emergency has been declared throughout the territory of Israel.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces carried out new airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, which provoked sharp reactions from Iran and further raised tensions in the Middle East.
Tehran said the response to the attacks would be “painful” and warned that US and Israeli military bases and assets in the region could be considered legitimate targets. This statement further increased the concern about the possible spread of the conflict.

Following the Iranian threats, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu scheduled emergency security consultations to review the situation and potential next steps.
In a diplomatic context, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, stated that, in the event of reaching an agreement with Iran, the two sides could work together to control and destroy uranium stocks, noting that the lifting of sanctions against Tehran would be possible only after the agreement.

At the same time, a message from Pakistan addressed to Iran’s supreme religious leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, was transmitted in Tehran, which further indicates intensive diplomatic contacts in the region.
The situation is further complicated by the incidents in the Strait of Hormuz, where the US military announced that it shot down two Iranian drones that it claims were a threat to commercial ships.
All of the above points to a sudden deterioration of the security situation in the region, with increasingly pronounced risks of a wider regional conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States of America.
