Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency quoted a source as saying that reports of a finalized memorandum awaiting official release “do not reflect reality.”
The source emphasized that “the text has not been finalized yet”.
He added that Iran has not informed the Pakistani mediator that the agreement has been reached and that it will do so, as well as inform the public, only when the agreement is final.
“Until then, any claim by Western sources that the issue has been resolved is not credible,” the source said, as quoted by Tasnim.
On the other hand, the news portal Axios, citing US officials, announced that American and Iranian negotiators reached a temporary agreement to extend the ceasefire for 60 days, as well as a framework for future nuclear negotiations.
The report said US President Donald Trump has not yet given final approval to the memorandum, although negotiators on both sides have reportedly largely agreed on its terms.
