By the decision of the Board of Directors of the Basketball Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a 3×3 Commission was formed, consisting of: Adis Mujezinović, Aleksandar Lazić and Teoman Alibegović.
Basketball 3×3 is an increasingly popular format of basketball competition that relatively quickly became an Olympic sport.
“As in that format the points are transferred directly from the player to the national team, the conclusion was imposed that Lazić is a logical choice for a member of the team and the Commission. As a long-time basketball representative of BiH, Aleksandar Lazić deserves the trust of the Federation and the basketball public in the work and formation of the national KSBiH 3×3 national team,” the decision of the Board of Directors states, adding:
“KSBiH undertakes to pay the registration fee for the European Championship in 2026, and other costs will be covered by interested sponsors who expressed their desire to be part of this project”.
Adis Mujezinović will be the president of the 3×3 Commission.
“Our primary task is to pave the way for the 3×3 BiH national team to participate in major competitions such as the European Championship and the Olympic Games. Of course, through our activities, the goal is to further popularize this sport in our country. As for the competition, we are expected to participate in the qualifications for the European Championship, we are in the group that will compete on June 16 and 17 in Bucharest. Until then, two gatherings and preparations are planned, which we plan to implement with the help of our sponsors.”
“We will do our best to present Bosnia and Herzegovina in the best possible way and achieve a placement at the European Parliament. We certainly do not lack motivation and ambition, by forming the Commission we have taken the first step in building a team that will be respectable in European and global contexts,” Mujezinović points out.
