Indonesia welcomes the adoption of a United States-drafted UN Security Council resolution supporting President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza and establish an international stabilization force, the foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
On Monday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Yvonne Mewengkang said she welcomed the resolution and stressed the importance of participation by all parties, “especially the Palestinian Authority.”

Yvonne did not provide any details on the peacekeeping troops, but said the resolution focuses on peacekeeping through a UN-mandated international stabilization force.
President Prabowo Subianto told the UN General Assembly in September that Indonesia was ready to deploy 20,000 or more peacekeepers to Gaza if the UN resolution was passed.
Indonesia advocates a two-state solution in Palestine. She often condemned Israeli violence in Gaza and sent humanitarian aid. It does not currently have diplomatic relations with Israel.
Analysts say Prabowo’s foreign policy has shifted slightly in recent months, pointing to a speech at the UN in October in which he reiterated his call for an independent Palestinian state but also stressed the need to guarantee Israel’s security.
