The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Finance, determined the Proposal of the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2025 in the amount of 8,248,547,700 KM, which is referred to the Parliament of FBiH under urgent procedure.
Overall revenues, receipts and appropriations in this year’s budget proposal represent an increase of 773.7 million KM or slightly more than 10 percent compared to the Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2024.
The most significant allocations relate to the economy, social protection, security, infrastructure and social development, it was announced from Office of the FBiH Government for Public Relations.
A record 4.7 billion KM allocated for individuals: Focus on pensioners and people with disabilities
The federal budget for 2025 brings significant increases in transfers to individuals, with a total planned amount of 4,741.3 million KM.
Compared to last year, this is an increase of 429.3 million KM, with the largest part of the funds directed towards pensioners and persons with disabilities.
Pensions as a priority
More than 332 million KM of additional funds are intended for the payment of pensions on various legal grounds.
This increase ensures a regular adjustment of pensions, providing a more stable income for the elderly population.
In addition, 2.6 million KM is earmarked for helping pensioners in treatment through associations, which is 1.6 million KM more than last year.
These measures confirm the government’s commitment to improving the quality of life of the oldest citizens.
Support to the veteran population
An additional 9.8 million KM was set aside for disability benefits, which ensures stable incomes for the veteran and disabled population.
A special focus was placed on capital transfers of 2.5 million KM, intended for the purchase of cars for the disabled.
This investment provides the necessary support to people with disabilities, enabling them to move more easily and access the necessary resources.
Social responsibility in action
This budget represents the most extensive support for individuals in recent years.
Funds aimed at pensioners and the disabled are not only financial aid, but also a sign of social responsibility and care for the most vulnerable categories of society.
Increases in transfers indicate continuity in the strengthening of social policies and confirm the commitment to stability and security of all citizens.
These investments, in addition to directly contributing to the improvement of living standards, also reflect the efforts of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to build a fairer and more inclusive society.
