This Saturday will take a 5-kilometer race on the fifth time “Bosnia Srebrene trails” with more than 100 registered participants from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, region and Europe.
The start of the race is in the center of Srebrenica, and the route leads to the Memorial Center Potocari and back. The race has aim certificate, which means that any records will be recognized in international athletic calendars.
The President of the Association “Guys in the Blue” Darko Lončar says that this contribution is to return to Srebrenica.
– We want this city to be active on other days. The children’s race at 600 meters for children aged 6 to 14 will be held. After the main race, the proclamation of the winners and cultural and artistic program with the After Party – said Fenni Lončar.
The famous Marathon from Srebrenica Mirsad Siručić for years promotes his city through sports, running on ultramarathones across the country and the region.
– It’s nice to run in your city, especially with professional runners. This race brings back the life of Srebrenica, at least for a day. The race itself is something beautiful that can happen in this city. Since someone was gray in the entire municipality, this race somehow returns life to this city, even if for a day. Thanks to everyone who comes to run and in such a way to return the shine in this city. He especially looking forward to being a lot of children this year, because they are our future – said Siručić.
