One man in the northwestern German city of Oldenburg was mortally affected by his partner and two children, and then committed suicide, the police announced on Monday.
Investigators initially did not provide further details on the identity of victims.
The incident occurred on Monday morning in a residential building in Osternburg.
After informing them witnesses, police found four bodies and suspicious weapons, said police spokesman. Did not give details about weapons.
