Two young BiH members of the national team who won bronze medals, and certainly regrets the missed chance to perform in the finals of the U21 World Taekwondo Championship.
Despite this, the achieved result is the best in the history of taekwondo and represents the first medals from such a world competition.
In the category up to 74 kilograms, Husić was free in the first round, and then he defeated the Greek representative Alexandros Barkof with 2:0 in the next round. In the quarter-finals, he beat Yao Ariel Ephraim Abongni by a score of 2:0, and in the match to qualify for the final, Benjamin was defeated by the representative of Turkey, Omer Fukran Kopre.
Avdagić, just like Husić, was free in the first round, and in the next round she was better than Korean Siwoo Kim with 2:0 (13:1, 22:14). With a 2:0 (18:6, 13:10) victory over Erika Karabeleva from Bulgaria in the quarterfinals, Ada secured her place among the four best competitors in the category up to 53 kilograms and another medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Unfortunately, with the defeat in the semi-final match against the Iranian Mobina Nematzadeh (2:0), BH. the national team was left without the opportunity to fight for the gold.
Muhamed Đonka, the third member of our selection, is also expected to perform at the Under-21 World Championship.
