On July 1, the second adjustment of pensions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will follow, according to the amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance.
The first adjustment was on January 1 of this year and that was 11.2 percent, instead of the promised 11.6 percent, and then pensions were “adjusted” by an additional 0.06 percent, which was 36 pfennigs more for minimum pensions, which now amount to 666.76 KM.
– In the second, July settlement, I expect an increase of some 5.8 to six percent. And that will be an increase in the July pension that pensioners will receive in August. The decision on the increase will be made by the Management Board of the Federal Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance, and confirmed by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As for the parameters that will be taken (average salary in FBiH and consumer price index). Statistics are misleading and I don’t believe in them.

He reiterates that he expects the government to meet the given increase and increase pensions by 17 percent this year.
– I expect the settlement to be 5.8 percent, and I would like to exceed the total of 17 percent with the second increase. We’ll see. The relevant minister, Adnan Delić, has been invited to the Assembly on June 10 in Fojnica, so we will talk face to face with him on the subject – said Halilović.
There are over 468,000 pensioners in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which almost half are barely surviving.
