Members of the Široki Karate Club achieved an exceptional sporting result at the 1st round of the Karate League of the Herzegovina region.
Despite the performance with a smaller number of competitors, the club dominated the tatami, completing a total of 20 final fights.
A high level of preparation and quality of karate resulted winning a total of 36 medals.
Competitors of the Široki Karate club fought for eight gold, 12 silver and 16 bronze medalsand below is a list of awarded athletes by category:
Gold medals (1st place): Maris Matković, Lucija Sesar, Nikola Cigić, Ante Lasić, Luka Čuljak, Tea Naletilić, Ante Čolak and Vladimir Naletilić.
Silver medals (2nd place): Paula Đolo, Luka Brkić, Jakov Musa, Klara Sesar, Nikola Čolak, Mihaela Kraljević, Antonija Šakota, Jakov Zeljko, Josip Sesar, Iva Kožul (two medals in different categories) and Jelena Bokšić.
Bronze medals (3rd place): Eva Skoko, Doris Kraljević, Ante Crnjac, Estera Kraljević, Eva Zelenika, Marta Brkić, Toma Skočilić, Patrik Galić, Petar Mandić, Matej Čuljak, Tea Cigić, Paula Ratkić, Mia Jurilj, Petra Sesar, Vladimir Naletilić and Ante Primorac.

Sports challenges for the club continue next week when Angela Soldo performs at the Senior National Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club points out that the goal is to repeat last year’s success and win the national medal, which would make Anđela Soldo presented the club and the city of Široki Brijeg in the best possible way.
Winning senior medals is the primary goal of sports development, because they represent a clear indicator of the systematic and continuous work of professional staff and motivation for young people to stay in sports.
The club thanked all friends and supporters who follow the work of Široki Karate Club.
