The public institution “Sports and recreation center” Tešanj organizes a free swimming school for children at Kiseljak Pools this year, with the financial support of Tešanj Municipality.
The training will be led by experienced trainers, who will help participants to master basic swimming techniques and get rid of any fear of water.
Children born from 2014 to 2019, inclusive, have the right to participate. Preference will be given to children who have not attended swimming school so far, followed by those who have participated once, while children who have attended swimming school two or more times will be able to be included if there are still available places.
It is planned that each group will undergo five days of training during one week, and the new group will not start work until the previous one has completed the program. In the case of unfavorable weather conditions, certain changes to the schedule are possible.
The first group, weather permitting, should begin work on Monday, June 29, 2026. Trainings will be held every working day from 9 am to 11 am.
Participation in the swimming school is completely free, while it is the responsibility of parents to bring their children to the pool by 9 a.m. and pick them up after the end of training at 11 a.m.
After the completion of all groups, a final event will be organized for all participants, which is planned for the beginning of August, and the exact date will be announced later.
Registrations are made exclusively through the Facebook page of the Sports and Recreation Center Tešanj. In the application, it is necessary to state the first and last name of the child, the name of the parents, the date of birth, the phone number of the parents and information about any previous participation in the swimming school.
The application deadline is June 26, 2026, after which group lists will be published on the institution’s Facebook page. A separate Viber group will be created for each group, through which parents will receive detailed information about the implementation of the program.
Ju “Sports-recreational center” Tešanj announced the organization of a swimming school for adults, and a public call for applications is expected at the beginning of July.
