Ramić was killed on December 12, 2021, in the Pofalići neighborhood of Sarajevo, around 9:15 p.m., when Adel Kabaš and Amel Jašarević approached him and shot him. This year, Jašarević was legally sentenced to 20 years in prison, while Kabaš was located and arrested in Serbia after several years on the run, and awaits further court proceedings.
In this case, the accomplices were also sentenced – Edvin Imamović to three years in prison and Igor Zuko to two years, due to the role they played before and after the murder.
On the occasion of the anniversary, FK Željezničar, a club to which Meša Ramić was deeply attached, also made an announcement. “Today marks four years since the death of our fan Mehmed Meša Ramić. We cherish the memory of your kindness and character with love and respect,” the club said.
Fans, friends and family still cherish the memory of Ramić, noting that his premature and tragic death left an indelible mark on the blue community.
