The sad news was also confirmed by his former club Rad from Belgrade, which caused great sadness among the fans and everyone who knew him.
Đorđević successfully wore the Rada jersey, playing more than 60 games, and in both clubs where he played, he was remembered as a fighter of great character, impeccable dedication and exceptional humanity.
FK Rad said goodbye to their former player with a touching message:
“It is with great sadness that we received the news that, after a serious illness, our former player Saša Đorđević left us, a man who proudly wore the Rad shirt and played more than 60 games for our club. His fighting spirit, dedication and humanity will be forever remembered by all who knew him.
We send our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones. To him be eternal glory and thanks”, reads the announcement of FK Rad.
The departure of Saša Đorđević represents a great loss for everyone who knew him, from teammates and coaches to fans of the clubs whose jersey he wore with pride.
When it comes to his involvement in Željezničar, he wore the Blues jersey for one season in 2006/2007.
Then he played under the baton of three coaches, Nenad Starovlah, Dželaludin Muharemović and Enver Hadžiabdić.
