In the last game of Saturday’s program of the 12th round of the English football championship, Newcastle United defeated Manchester City 2-1.
The hero of the victory was Harvey Barnes (63, 70), who scored both goals for the home team within seven minutes, and in the meantime, Ruben Dias (68) briefly equalized at 1-1.
With this defeat, City remained third with 22 points, four less than the leading Arsenal, and one less than the second Chelsea, while Newcastle moved to 14th place with 15 points.
