The emergency services in Hataj have embraced fire throughout the night in the forest in Dortjol, the State News Agency Anatolia reported.
The fire broke out last night, and the fire spread rapidly in a dry wood for a strong wind. From this morning, helicopters are back in action.
The Governor of the Hataj province said that the nine areas of pastures and close to 2,000 people have been evacuated so far.
The weather conditions and topography of the mountainous area complicate the action of fire extinguishing, in which more than 1,000 members of emergency intervention services participate.
Three people were killed during the last few days in Izmir. According to the Minister of Forestry Ibrahim Joom, a total of 10 large forest fires were erupted in the country.
