Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that in the next few days he could meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine.
– We are looking for another date for the meeting, it should be in the next few days – Fico said.
Fico previously suggested that he and Zelensky could meet in Slovakia, near the border with Ukraine.
According to him, “the meeting would be a good setting for an open discussion on the supply of gas to Slovakia and other countries through the territory of Ukraine”.
In response to the Slovak Prime Minister’s invitation, Zelensky suggested that Fico come to Kyiv on January 17.
Later, Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Tibor Gaspar told the TASS agency that Fico would not go to Kyiv on Friday.
