Seventy original design and costomographic sketches are exhibited.
Abdičević reminded that Bilac was a prominent bh. The scenograph and costume designer of the Chamber Theater 55. He was born in 1931. in Travnik, and passed away in August 2003. in Sarajevo. He gave an immeasurable contribution – more than a hundred stage performances since the founding of the Chamber Theater 55.
Somewhere in 1995, during the siege of Sarajevo, Miro Bilac conveyed his legacy together with the Archival Material from the Chamber Theater 55 in the museum to simply be preserved and available to the public.
– After almost 30 years, the audience has the opportunity to look at its designographic and costomographic sketches for the first time. There are also several pictures, because he was also a painter, but his career is exclusively related to scenography and costume design in a way, although the scenographical opus is much bigger – said Abdičević.
The exhibition was organized by the Museum of Literature and the Theater Arts of the BiH and the International Festival “Sarajevo Winter”.
The opening of the exhibition was followed by a music program that performed the Association “from Dubrovnik and the Ensemble” Cantabile “from Sarajevo, and conductors were Maja Marusic and Željko Andrić.
Miroslav Bilać is a Bosnian painter and a theater designer who passed away on 21. Augusta 2003 in Sarajevo in 73 years.
