The Turkish media are writing today that the captain of the football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the forward of Fiorentina, Edin Džeko, could already change his club and move to Genoa in January.
According to the Mynet portal, negotiations are at an advanced stage and the contract is expected to be signed during the winter transfer window. Genoa is reportedly strongly pushing for this transfer, and a key role is played by coach Daniele De Rossi, a former teammate of Dzeka’s from Roma, who wants an experienced striker in his team.
Dzeko arrived in Fiorentina this summer from Fenerbahce, but failed to impress. During the half-season, he was out of the first plan for two coaches, and in 17 official appearances he scored only two goals, which is significantly below expectations.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, is in a difficult situation in Serie A. After 15 rounds played, the team is without a single victory and with only six points won, thus holding the last place in the table.
