Doncic led the Lakers to victory in Dallas
Last night, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Dallas Mavericks 116-110, and Luka Dončić scored 33 points with 11 assists and eight rebounds against his former team.

The Lakers trailed by 15 points with seven minutes and 41 seconds left in the fourth quarter, before taking a 108-106 lead with 2:15 left. LeBron James and Rui Hachimura each scored 17 points for the Lakers.

For Dallas, Max Christie was the best with 24 points, and Naji Marshall added 21 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Williams scored 20 points, Caleb Martin added 17 and Cooper Flagg had 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Miami Heat in Salt Lake City convincingly defeated the home team 147-116 Utah Jazzand Bam Adebayo led them to victory with his 16th “double-double” performance of the season. Adebayo finished the game with 26 points and 15 rebounds, and Pelle Larsson added 20 points.

Nikola Jovic scored 23 points for the Heat, with seven players in double figures. Andrew Wiggins added 17 points, Simone Fontecchio 14, Norman Powell 13, and rookie Kasparas Jakucionis finished with 12.

This match is the eighth time Heat scored 140 or more points this season. Jusuf Nurkic recorded his third consecutive triple-double with 17 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, becoming the first Jazz player to accomplish the feat. Brice Sensabaugh scored 23 points and Keyonte George scored 19 points.

Charlotte Hornets defeated the visitors at home with 119-115 Washington Wizards for whom this is the ninth consecutive defeat. Brandon Miller scored 21 points, LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges both scored 20 points for Charlotte, who are 18-28.

Kon Knueppel with 16 points and Moussa Diabate with 11 points and 14 rebounds were also key for Charlotte. Tre Johnson with 26 points and Alex Sarr with 24 points led the Wizards.

Cleveland Cavaliers they registered their third consecutive victory, winning away from home with 119-105 Orlando Magic. Donovan Mitchell scored 36 points and dished out nine assists, and Jaylon Tyson added 17 points for Cleveland, which improved to 10-4 since Dec. 29.

Paulo Banchero led the Magic with 27 points and hit 10 of 12 free throws, while Desmond Bane had 20 points and Anthony Black 16. Orlando lost its third straight game and never led after the first quarter.

New York Knicks were better than on the road with 112-109 Philadelphia 76ers. Jalen Brunson scored 31 points and added six assists for the Knicks, who outscored the Sixers 30-13 in the third quarter.

It was the Knicks’ second straight win after losing nine of 11 games. OG Anunoby finished with 23 points and seven rebounds. The Sixers were not helped by a cheerful Joel Embiid, who was the best scorer of the game with 38 points. Tyrese Maxey scored 22 points with six assists.

Chicago Bulls won 114-111 on their home field Boston Celticsand the victory was ensured by Kevin Huerter who hit a three-pointer 0.2 seconds before the end.

Coby White hit five 3-pointers, had 22 points and seven assists, and the Bulls won their fourth straight game. Nikola Vucevic added 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Jaylen Brown had 33 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Boston, which had its two-game winning streak snapped.
