The 39-year-old retired in December 2024, but decided to come out of retirement and sign for a club from Kazakhstan.

Also, the contract stipulates that Nani, after his playing role, will take over coaching duties in the younger age categories in Aktobe. The former Portuguese national team member has a UEFA coaching license for working with young footballers up to 19 years of age.
Nani started his career in Sporting, and in 2007 he signed for Manchester United, for whom he played 230 games in seven seasons, scoring 41 goals and 66 assists. After United, he played for Fenerbahce, Valencia, Lazio, Sporting, and ended his career at the Portuguese club Estrela da Amadora.
He scored 24 goals in 111 appearances for the Portuguese national team.
