Dinamo sent an official request to UEFA to register Fran Topić for the Europa League.
This information was confirmed by the club, for Index.hr. The Maksimirski Blues decided on this move after the right winger Mateo Lisica got mononucleosis and he won’t be there at least until the winter break.

Why does Dinamo have the right to register players?
Topić was not part of the original list that Dinamo submitted in September. It was on that list, the so-called A list 25 names which have the right to perform in Europe. There is also a B list, which is reserved for young players from Dinamo’s school.
Topić does not meet the criteria for that list either, but Dinamo does has the right to report a replacement if he provides evidence that the player he wants to replace has an injury or illness that will keep him from playing for at least 60 days. The move can only be made for one player in the league phase and before the sixth round.

Topić arrived at Dinamo in 2022, after passing through the NK Sesveta football school. He has four appearances for Dinamo this season. He scored against Karlovac in the Cup and played in each of the last three league games, and he assisted the goal against Gorica. He also played against Hajduk and was one of Dinamo’s most active players. He spent last season on loan in Zrinjski.
He scored nine goals and assisted seven times in 38 appearances for the champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The season before last, he was on loan in Rudeš, where he scored two goals in the half-season. He has made ten appearances for the Croatian U-21 national team.
