As part of today’s media activities of the “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, questions from journalists were answered by Amar Dedić, as well as debutant Emir Karić.
Dedić points out that he is ready and feels good.
“I feel very good. I was a little injured for two weeks, but I’m back and I’m ready for these games, like the rest of the team. These two games are the most important for us, we’re ready and we can’t wait to get out on the field,” said Dedić.
When asked if the team feels pressure, Dedić states that it is a positive pressure.
“We can say that it is a positive pressure. We are playing at home against Romania, in front of our fans, also in Austria it will be in front of ours. Our goal is to qualify, we should have that in our heads and we will do our best. We are training and doing our best so that they are ready for those games,” he said.
In addition to Dedić, the debutant in the “A” team, Emir Karić, addressed the media representatives today at Ilidža.
“I am proud and it is a great honor to be here. Everything in these two days has been excellent, my teammates have accepted me very well. I was surprised at the call, but I am proud and I will make the most of every chance on the field. I want to transfer the excellent form I have in Sturm to the national team,” says Karić.
Our new representative points out that it is too early to talk about the match with Austria and that the team is focused on the first match.
“Our attention is on Romania, and we will see what will happen against Austria later. Now the game in Zenica against Romania is important. We need to win three points there, and then we can think about other things and Austria”, he pointed out and added:
“There’s no pressure, I’m looking forward to my debut. I’ve already had important games in my career with the club. This is the peak of my career and being here is a joy for me, not a pressure.”
We remind you that yesterday the national team members started preparations for the World Cup qualification matches with Romania and Austria, and today Sergej Barbarez’s team will train at the “Asim Ferhatović Hase – Koševo” Olympic Stadium instead of Butmir.
Training is scheduled at 5:30 p.m.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will play against Romania on Saturday in Zenica, and on November 18 in Vienna they will be the guests of Austria.
With two points won from the upcoming matches, the popularly called “Dragons” would qualify for the play-offs for the World Championship, which will be played next year in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
If they “take” the maximum six, they would be first in group “H” and would directly qualify for the World Cup.
