At the last major taekwondo competition in Europe, where the best European senior women and men under the age of 21 gathered, Posušak David Milićević also performed for the Croatian taekwondo national team in the category of seniors up to 68 kilograms.
The championship was held in Pristina (Kosovo), and in David’s category there were even 39 fighters.
David had potentially five fights, three of which he needed to win to win the bronze medal. In the first round, David fought with a representative of Russia to whom he lost by a score 1:2 in rounds and thus lost the opportunity to win his first European senior medal.
In the first round, he surprised his opponent and in just 30 seconds defeated him on PTG with a score of 12:0, thus retaliating for his defeat in the same way from their previous meeting. In the second round, which was uncertain until the very end. David loses by score 11:12 after which he loses the third round by the score 4:17.
This is the first big senior experience for him after two victories with the Croatian U-21 Championship. David was accompanied by the club coach at this Championship Petar Boban.
David is very talented and there is definitely ahead of him great taekwondo career if we manage to keep him. Surely there is still a lot that can be improved and improved, but biologically he is still a junior by one year since he was born in December, so we don’t have to rush but prepare well for senior taekwondo.
The biggest problem will be financing of preparations, tournaments and championships which are very expensive and our calculation can hardly keep up with them. Now we will rest for a few days, make a plan and start with fitness preparation.

Thank you to his parents who financed his performance because he did not enter the financing system of the Croatian Taekwondo Federation, our club spent the budget for competitions, and we were unable to find a sponsor. Thanks to his professors who support him and understand his absences from classes, coach Boban pointed out.
