The Croatian national football team beat the Faroe Islands 3:1 and secured first place in the group and direct qualification to the 2026 World Cup.
For Vatrene, it will be the seventh appearance at the competition of the best world teams, and so far they have returned from the tournament with one silver and two bronze medals.
Zlatko Dalić’s men were behind after Geza David Turi’s goal in the 16th minute, but Josko Guardiol equalized in the 23rd minute.
Returning players Petar Musa and Nikola Vlašić scored in the 57th and 70th minutes to give Croatia the victory.
