The Minister of Environmental Protection of the Zenica-Doban Canton was signed by 93 users whose projects are selected by the Environmental Propinarianization for 2025. Contracts were signed with 72 associations, which were granted a total of 100,000 KM, and the mayors and municipalities of local utility companies engaged in the amount of 780,000 KM.

These are funds for the procurement of new utility companies and for co-financing waste disposal costs to the regional landfill in Zenica. This year, we also announced an additional lot that refers to special waste categories (wastewater, automotive tires, batteries and batteries), for which about 150,000 KM, but we only had one applicant – Alba from Zenica. We will probably repeat that call by the end of the year – said Minister Sabana.
Associations, sports collectives and non-governmental organizations have been granted funds to raise awareness of environmental protection.
According to Minister Sabania, an additional 100,000 KM from this budget is allocated for the obligations under the project “Clean air”, which implies the replacement of individual fires fuel. He also announced that the home fireplace register in ZD will be completed by the end of the year.
The Chief of the Municipality of Breza Vedad Jusić stated that they were applied for funds intended to remove wild landfills and replacement of dilapidated containers, with the aim of improving the service of citizens and facilitate the work of the public company.
High Mirza Mayor Ganić pointed out that the city annually allocates 1,200,000 KM for subsidizing waste disposal costs to the regional landfill depot, in order to citizens – end users – the full economic prices of waste disposal. He emphasized that the funds were obtained from the line cantonal ministry to reduce costs and contribute to reducing the amounts of waste in Visoko.
